David Ellzey
At the age of fourteen David had his first transformative experience of the unseen presence that permeates all of life.
At age seventeen he pursued the embodiment of this experience further by learning the ancient wisdom teachings of Kabbalah combined with creating universes on an empty stage performing in silence. This, through the physical artform of pantomime under the tutelage of a master Kabbalah teacher, and his dear friend, Samual Avital.
With his teacher David discovered the unifying principle that the visible is the expression of the unseen, whether on an empty theater stage or the infinite stage of life. Thus, even as you read these words, you too, are That ~ the unseen manifest into the seen.
This became his foundation for exploring non-duality as well as the basis for his teaching and performance career. Later, David would be deeply moved to know the sweetness of being - by his heart-full teachers, Francis Lucille and Neelam. This sweetness and the accompanying lightness of being are often a core result for those watching David perform or who spend time with him as a coach or teacher.
Now, having coached, taught, and performed for a quarter million people worldwide from Hiroshima to The United Nations, to Moscow and children’s cancer wards, David has transcribed much of his journey and understanding into his new book, The Ocean of Now.
Whether entertaining in silence or speaking as a teacher, David joyfully bows to the unseen presence that is indeed his own being and out of which is born all of life.
"David Ellzey is an accomplished court jester to humanity." Norman Cousins
"The miracle of David is that as a performer he is a modern day shaman. He initiates us into seeing and participating in the Invisible worlds … leaves us fully awake, reconnected to our natural joy, and basking in our own wholeness … And at the end, having forgotten any sense of being separate, we remain as laughter itself." Vera de Chalambert
