THE MYSTERY SCHOOL: BE A LIGHT TO YOURSELF - BEING IN HARMONY WITH EXISTENCE

Intuition, the inner guide, the inner master - Joy from within - Loving Yourself: Love, freedom & Aloneness - Spiritual Creativity: Being in Harmony with Existence

Satsang weekend with Giten,6-8 March, 2020, in Stockholm

The last words of Gautama the Buddha on the earth were: Be a light unto yourself. Do not follow others, because following creates stupidity. You are born with a light within you. You are enough to yourself. You are sufficient to yourself. Listen to the still, small voice within, and that will guide you. Nobody else can guide you, nobody else can become a model for your life because you are unique. Buddha defines wisdom as living in the light of our own consciousness, and foolishness as following others.

Buddha says, "BE A LIGHT UNTO YOURSELF!" That is his greatest message. This very message of Buddha functions as a reminder to all the seekers of truth - on the path of enlightenment. Nobody else in the whole world, in the whole history of humanity, has been so respectful towards others as Gautam the Buddha. "Be a light unto yourself."

Buddhas only point the way -- fingers pointing to the moon. YOU HAVE TO FOLLOW, AND YOU HAVE TO FOLLOW ACCORDING TO YOUR NATURE. You have to be silent, quiet, so you can listen to the still small voice within you, and then follow it. Wherever it leads, it is good.

GO IN DEEP TRUST, FOLLOWING YOUR OWN VOICE. Be spontaneous, natural, ordinary. This is the way of being extraordinary. Be ordinary but aware, and the ordinary becomes the sacred.

A buddha has not to be followed, but understood. A buddha has not to be imitated but listened to -- listened to in tremendous silence, love, trust. And the more you understand a buddha, the more you will feel he is speaking not from the outside but from within, from the very core of your being.

In this satsang weekend series we will also explore five keys to spiritual maturity:

1. Be a light to yourself: The last words of Gautama the Buddha on theearth were: Be a light unto yourself. Do not follow others, because followingcreates stupidity. You are born with a light within you. You are enough toyourself. You are sufficient to yourself. Listen to the still, small voicewithin, and that will guide you. .Buddha defines wisdom asliving in the light of our own consciousness. This very message of Buddhafunctions as a reminder to all the seekers of truth - on the path ofenlightenment.

2. Intuition, the inner guide, the inner master: Creating a trust in yourself and in your intuition, your inner guide, the inner master. Listen to the still, small voice within, and that will guide you. You have to be silent, quiet, so you can listen to the still small voice within you, and then follow it. Wherever it leads, it is good. Go in deep trust, following your own voice.

Intuition means something that arises from within inner being. Intuition is the voice of being and consciousness. It is your potential, which is why it is called intuition. Unless you have your intuition, unless you have your own wisdom , your own vision, your own clarity, your own eyes to see, you will not be able to understand the mystery of existence. To give meaning to your life, to your heart, existence has given intuition to your heart. Out of intution arises the possibilities of art, of love, of friendship - intuition will lead you to wisdom, to enlightenment. Then your life is a life of immense light, joy and serenity.

Intuition makes a man wise- call it enlightenment or awakening, those are simply different names from wisdom. Intuition brings meaning to life, joy, blessings. Intuition gives you the secrets of existence, brings a tremendous silence, which cannot be disturbed and which cannot be taken away from you.

3. Love, freedom and aloneness: One of the most significant teachings ofBuddha is to love yourself and watch. Love yourself and watch are Buddha's twosteps of meditation. Just as food is nourishment for the body; love isnourishment for the soul. Without nourishment for the soul, the body becomesweak. Without nourishment of love, the soul becomes weak.

You have been made afraid of being in love with yourself, which is the firststep of love. A man who loves himself respects himself. And a man who loves andrespects himself loves and respects others. He becomes aware that we are notdifferent: we are one. In the foundation, we are part of one nature. A man wholoves himself starts overflowing, so that his love starts reaching others. Youlove other people, you love animals, flowers and trees.

Love makes you a spiritual force. Love yourself, says Buddha, this cantransform the whole world.

Love begins with yourself, and then it can spread. Love yourself, says Buddha, and then he adds, and watch. That is Buddha's word for meditation. The firststep is to love yourself, and the second step is to watch. Love is the firststep to know yourself. If you do not love yourself, you will never knowyourself. Love your body, love your mind and love your soul. Watching ismeditation. It is Buddha's name for meditation. He says: Be aware, be alert andbe conscious.

The first step in meditation is to love yourself, to respect and acceptyourself as you are. The second step in meditation is to watch - watch when youtake a walk, watch when you eat and watch when you spend time with friends.

4. Joy that comes from within: Giten posits that to be joyful is thebasic nature of life. Joy is the spiritual dimension of happiness, in which onebegins to understand one's intrinsic value and place inthe universe.

Accepting joy is a decision to "go with the flow," to begrateful tobe alive and for all the challenges and opportunities in life, rather thansetting conditions or demands for happiness.Joy is the essence of our life. That even unhappiness has its roots in joy.

Giten shares a unique perspective of accepting joy by being grateful for ourlife with its challenges and opportunities rather than placing a demand orsetting conditions for it. Giten urges us to reconnect with the natural joythat we were born with, and that is available to us the moment we turn ourattention to the silent space within.

5. Spiritual creativity - Being in harmony with existence. Spiritual creativity is an attitude to life. Spiritual creativity is to be in harmony with existence, spirtual creativity is to act in harmony with existence. Spiritual creativity has nothing to do with a certain activity that you do. Spiritual creativity has to do with the presence, love, joy and silence that you give to the activity that you do. Then everything can be creative.

This satsang weekend is supported by silent satsang with Giten, which is a direct insight and realization of being. It is a direct realization to be a light to yourself.
