When we hear the teachings about surrender, we try to ‘do’ not doing. ‘Thought’ takes on the idea of surrender and this just becomes an attitude of passivity. It may look very surrendered, but in fact it is a very controlled attitude of doing passivity. We tend to just wait for things to fall into our laps and overlook that true surrender also includes taking action when it is needed. Let’s explore together how it is possible to act out of surrender, without it becoming an attitude to cling on to.
