An Evening Dialogue: Do we still need Gurus? If not, why not? If yes, what for?

Many people today consider life itself to be the ultimate teacher. Others find spiritual guidance in the Holy Spirit; their deepest intuition. What place, if any, does the spiritual teacher have in this context?

In integral circles there is a vibrant and ongoing discussion about whether the Guru-Student relationship is still relevant or appropriate. From a Spiral Dynamics perspective is it essentially a blue phenomenon, and therefore obsolete in the postmodern world?

Zentrum Einklang invites you to an open podium discussion about this topic and other related questions. The evening will be moderated by the Integral Zen teacher Myoshin Stephan Schoch using an evolutionary dialogue based on Bohm Dialogue.

We are delighted to welcome Andrew Cohen to join us for the evening. Andrew is a controversial but highly respected spiritual teacher who has recently returned to public life and is now teaching again after a four year break.

Sebastian Gronbach, himself an evolutionary Guru and a close friend of Andrew Cohen, will give an introduction. Gronbach has played a significant role in Andrew’s comeback, and he will speak about what motivated him to do this.
