Event Information
The World as Your Monastery - How may we bring our deepest spiritual practices into the world, allowing them to nourish us in all our daily doings?
A former Trappist monk, Francis Bennett is currently having a considerable impact on the world of spirituality through his simple, direct and sincere approach to finding peace amidst the chaos of modern life. Going beyond meditation, he offers surrender as a simple practice for all contexts. He believes that spiritual awakening is not a state that disregards human existence, rather that it can be integrated into our physical lives, inviting us to become fully human, fully divine.
Through contemplation, meditation and enquiry, Francis will explore the question of how we can live in the world and yet be present in such a way that our deepest spiritual practices may be carried into our everyday life, and be of true benefit to ourselves and others. Includes Sunday morning guided contemplative walk in Highgate Woods.
