What is it that wakes up: the mind, the heart, or both? Do heart openings and its aspects (love, joy, celebration, bliss) contribute to awakening, are they part of awakening, or are they simply a by-product of awakening? Can heart-centered practices distract us from awakening, as they suggest a need to continue a practice in time instead of pointing us directly beyond time? Are they caught in a duality of self and other? What is the place of the heart and of heart-centered practices (if any) after awakening? These are some of the questions that I (Grace Bubeck), will be asking during the conversations with the nondual spiritual teachers who are participating in the retreat.
